RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan's Message on the Occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia
My Dear Compatriots,
I am congratulating you on Armenia's Independence Day. Having made its historical choice over 13 years ago, our people proceeded then to the implementation of the long-cherished goal of engineering an independent and democratic state. This was not an easy destination. Numerous difficulties were encountered at various call-points of this winding path, many of them are still challenging us, but we are strong with our people's unbreakable will of living in freedom and sovereignty in our homeland and the aspiration of all the Armenians to unite their efforts at the decisive moments of addressing tasks of all-national concern. Human civilization, which is having a good deal of troubles today, is faced with new challenges threatening to escalate the situation in the world and instigate new conflicts among nations. By showing intolerance of any such phenomena and cooperating with the other concerned nations of the world, we ought to be on the alert in respect of safeguarding our newly independent state from such perilous attempts.
I am confident that through the joint efforts of the Homeland, Artsakh and the Diaspora we shall be able to meet any challenges and hardships in future as well. By strengthening our statehood, we are paying tribute to those national heroes who paved the way for this march of independence with self-sacrifice.
