RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan received Ambassador of Ukraine to Armenia Alexander Bozhko.
First of all, the Ambassador congratulated the Prime Minister on the successful completion of the May 12 parliamentary elections, as well as on the victory of the Prime Minister's Republican Party at said elections. He went on to express hope that the results of these elections will promote development and strengthening of democracy in Armenia.
At the request of Ambassador Bozhko, Mr. Sargsyan briefed him on the approaches of the RPA as to the formation of the future cabinet and said that talks were underway with political forces concerning the involvement in the activities of the government of all willing parliamentary and extra-parliamentary forces with the view of building up a cabinet of greater public trust.
The parties also touched upon the developments of bilateral Armenian-Ukrainian relationship and, in this context, emphasized the need of making joint efforts in the direction of development of both intergovernmental and inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The Ambassador of Ukraine briefed the Prime Minister of Armenia on the current political situation in his country. He referred to the agenda of the upcoming session of the CIS Council of Heads of Government to be held in Yalta on May 25.
At the close of the meeting, Ambassador Bozhko wished the Prime Minister every success in his activities and expressed readiness to closely cooperate with the Government of Armenia towards the strengthening of bilateral relationship and the developments of cooperation between Ukraine and Armenia.
