RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan received newly appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia Xun Jiuyin.
Congratulating the Ambassador on the start-up of his diplomatic mission in our country, the Prime Minister stressed that the development of relations with the PRC was on the top of Armenia's political agenda and the contribution of the ambassadors of the two countries was quite important in respect of strengthening the bilateral relationship and expanding the cooperation. The Prime Minister noted that it was quite meaningful that Xun Jiuyin assumed office at a time when Armenia and China celebrated the 15th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties. The Head of GoA further said to be highly appreciative of the current status of mutual understanding and reciprocated confidence-based Armenian-Chinese relationship and added that the Armenian government was prepared to possibly promote interaction in all spheres of activity.
Ambassador Xun Jiuyin conveyed Chinese Prime Minister's greetings and congratulations on the appointment of Serzh Sargsyan as Prime Minister of Armenia. The Ambassador noted that sufficiently good pre-requisites were up for cooperation and that he could see vast opportunities available for the realization of new prospective projects in a number of fields. Mr. Xun Jiuyin said that he came to such conclusion following the contacts had at various ministries of Armenia during the month of his stay in our country. He further said that in-depth discussions of mutually beneficial projects had been held with relevant officials of these ministries. He mentioned some of these areas, namely, agricultural cooperation, the possibility of exporting Armenian brandy to Chinese markets, the exchange of students, the founding of joint ventures and so on.
