Today, at the Office of Government, RA Minister of Territorial Administration Hovik Abrahamyan has received a delegation headed by Italian Minister for Territorial Administration Enrico Laloggia.
Discussed were a broad range of matters regarding power de-centralization policies, the cooperation between territorial administration bodies and local self-government entities, bilateral economic collaboration and other issues of mutual concern. Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan briefed his Italian counterpart on the marz development programs underway in Armenia, as well as the activities for the design of a strategy for sustainable development of mountainous regions in Armenia. The Parties have also exchanged views on the cooperation within the framework of the International Organization for Highlands Cooperation as acceeded by Armenia recently, the more so far as the Republic of Italy is among the most active members of this organization.
During the meeting, arrangements were made concerning a number of actions for future cooperation.
