Today RA government commission for the coordination of charitable programs has held an ordinary meeting presided at by Mr. S. Ter-Simonyan, chairman of the commission.
The commission has discussed 16 charitable programs, including: the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund-implemented construction of a boiler-house for the Stepanakert municipal outpatient clinic, building of a power sub-station, installation of gas and provision of amenities, improvement of the sports-ground in the school after Lord Bayron in Gyumri, as well as the projects for the construction of annexes A and B and the second stage in the construction of Annexes G, D and E to the main building of the of Holy See.
Also, approved were the projects for the Holy See-implemented construction of the new boiler-house and the water-supply complex for the See, the engineering of a parking-lot for Grigor Lousavorich Mother Church in Yerevan, the rehabilitation work to be carried out at the former Cultural Center at Hovsepian-8, a program implemented by the Armenia branch of the World Vision International for the construction of a local boiler house for the kinder-gartens managed under the Gyumri regional development program and the construction of a gym-hall for School No.41 in Gyumri, as well as a program referred to as Liasing with the Curch, Communities and the Government. The purpose of the Mobile Groups of Physicians is to improve the situation with the provision of primary medical aid in the ill-accessible communities of Lori, Gegharkounik, Tavoush and Syunik marzes of Armenia.
The Armenia branch office of the Cross-Boundary-Physicians-Belgium is due to implement a program for the delivery of medical assistance to outpatients with mental derangements and ensuring easier accessibility of medical services in Vardenis and Tshambarak provinces. The Armenia branch office of Cross-Boundary-Physicians-Greece organization will carry out the AIDS Prevention and Management of Incidences of Venereal Diseases program in Shirak Marz.
The Against Legal Outrage NGO will carry out the Participatory Monitoring and Community Capacity Building for Poverty Reduction program.
A Hay Deprotz Foundation-implemented project will pursue the goal of providing all needy schools in Armenia with the basic school supplies in the period 2005-2008.
The commission has also discussed and approved a number of sub-contracts under previously passed projects, as well as 12 projects concerning the import of freight destined to different organizations operating in Armenia.
