Today RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan has received Nikolai Pavlov, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia.
In congratulating the Ambassador on his new appointment, the Prime Minister expressed the hope that for the duration of his forthcoming activities, the Armenian-Russian mutually beneficial cooperation would continue developing as successfully as it had done during the tenure of office of his predecessor. The Parties expressed satisfaction with the recent activation of trade turnover between the two countries by mentioning at the same time that still many opportunities went unused and a considerable amount of work was to be done in this respect. According to them, the existing strong legislative framework and the well-coordinated work carried out the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission on economic affairs could help create further facilities for the better use of these potentialities.
In conclusion, Prime Minister A. Margaryan wished every success to Mr. Pavlov in the exercise of his diplomatic activities in Armenia and added that the Armenian government and himself stood ready provide him with every possible assistance in this matter. Ambassador Pavlov assured for his part that he we would do everything in his power to further and strengthen the existing political, economic and cultural ties of cooperation between the two countries.
