A Prime Minister A. Margaryan-led Armenian delegation is due to leave for Tokio, capital of Japan, for a 5-day working visit. In the framework of the visit, the Prime Minister will attend Expo-2005 international exposition in Aichi. The delegation is comprised of Minister of Trade and Economic Development, Expo-2005 General Commissioner for Armenia Karen Cheshmarityan, Minister of Agriculture Davit Lokyan, Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs Hovik Hoveyan, Head of State Tax Committee under RA Government Armen Avetisyan, Ararat Marz Governor Alik Sargsyan, the Deputy Minister-Chief of Government Staff, Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Environmental Protection, MPs, President of the Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Martin Sargsyan, Director of Armenian Development Agency CJSC Vahagn Movsisyan, President of RA Academy of Sciences Fadey Sargsyan, heads of units from the Government Staff and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, other dignitaries.
The Prime Minister and delegation members will participate in a number of events to be held in the framework of the Day of Armenia under Expo-2005 to get acquainted with the exhibits on Armenia's stand, attend traditional Armenian popular dance performances and film shows.
In the framework of the working visit, the head of the Armenian government will meet with Prime Minister of Japan J. Koizumi, Speaker of the Lower Chamber of Parliament Mrs. Chikage Ughi, Vice President of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Azoushi Hatakenaka.
Upon completion of their stay in Japan, the delegation will go to Thailand at the invitation of the Thai Prime Minister for a working visit scheduled for June 9-13. Mr. A. Margaryan will have meetings with Prime Minister of Thailand Taksin Shinavatra and Speaker of the House of Representatives Bhokin Balakoula.
