Today RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan has received H. E. Tomasz Knothe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Armenia.
Mr. A. Margaryan first took the opportunity to congratulate the Ambassador on his entering upon diplomatic mission in our country. By mentioning the high level of political relationship between our two countries, the Prime Minister expressed the hope that, in the person of Poland as a full member of the European Union, Armenia will have an active supporter of its aspirations on the way to European integration. The two sides placed a special focus on the establishment of an adequate legal framework with a view to boosting bilateral cooperation. With reference to Armenian-Polish economic cooperation, both sides have noted the necessity of activating bilateral contacts, including the ones between business circles. They expressed the belief that the creation of an intergovernmental economic commission was a priority for the development of collaboration in various fields of economy, for ensuring enhanced trade turnover and activating information exchange between the two countries. Prime Minister A. Margaryan informed the Ambassador that the personal composition of the Armenian side of the Commission had already been approved with a decree by Prime Minister.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed several other issues of mutual concern with regard to the development of Armenian-Polish cooperation.
