Today the next meeting of the commission on coordination of charitable programs of Government RA was held as presided at by commission chairman Mr. S.Ter-Simonyan.

The commission has considered 6 charitable programs, including as follows: technical, volumetric, special and qualitative supervisory control of civil work at the 6,9-km stretch of the Kichan-Drembon 11,6-18,5-km section of "North - South" motorway in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and construction of a roofed-in swimming-pool in Gyumri town. Also, discussed and approved was a program implemented by the Armenia office of the U.S-based Development Services for Armenia charity under which a local boiler-house will be built and the internal heating system will be rehabilitated to improve the schooling conditions at School No. 1 in Sevan.

The commission has further approved a Young Soldier Welfare fund-implemented project, which is meant to provide children with military - patriotic education and training, familiarize them with the historical sites and cultural centres of Armenia.

The meeting has discussed and approved the "Dilijan Camp" program as carried out by the Armenian Relief Fund, under which free summer holidays will be organized for the children of dead freedom-fighters and for orphans.

The meeting has also discussed and approved a number of sub-contracts passed under previous programs, as well as several projects concerning the import of freight destined to different organizations operating in Armenia.
