Today RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan has received the delegation headed by Chairman of the Armenian Assembly of America Board of Directors Mr. Anthony Parsamyan. The Chairman of the Board introduced to the Prime Minister Mr. Brian Ardouni, the newly appointed Executive Director who, according to Mr. Parsamyan, while for the first time in Armenia after his appointment, proved to be well-versed on the developments in the country. The meeting was attended by Ms. Arpi Vardanyan, Country Director for Armenia.
In congratulating Mr. Ardouni on his appointment to the office of AAA Executive Director, the Prime Minister said to be confident that the existing cooperation between the Armenian government and the Armenian Assembly of America, which was aimed at addressing such problems as might prove of utmost relevance to our country and State, would henceforth be carried on with as much success. Noting with satisfaction that every next visit of his revealed new positive shifts in Armenia, Mr. Parsamyan mentioned that the above favorable changes were of great benefit to their on-going efforts. Asked by the members of delegation, Prime Minister A. Margaryan briefed them on the current political and economic status of Armenia, the achievements had and the prospects for development, as well as on the existing challenges.
The Parties have similarly touched upon the US-Armenian relationship, U.S. government assistance available to our country, the progress in the implementation of the Millenium Challenge Program, the possibilities for the Diaspora to invest in Armenia, regional cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
