RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan received Foreign Minister of Lithuania Petra Vaitiekunas. The Prime Minister has said that Armenia is interested in the development of relationship with Lithuania on both bilateral and multilateral levels and expressed hope that this visit of the Lithuanian Foreign Minister would promote the dialog between our two countries.

's authorities, Minister Vaitiekunas, too, has expressed readiness to further strengthen the relations between Armenia and Lithuania and noted that in its capacity of EU-member country, Lithuania could best cooperate with Armenia in the frameworks of both the European Union and NATO. He emphasized the importance of forwarding Lithuania's experience in regional interaction-related matters. The Prime Minister noted with satisfaction that Lithuania was among those countries having reciprocated Armenia's wish for collaboration under the European Neighborhood Policy.Having agreed in that much of the potential available in the two countries
' mutually beneficial economic cooperation is still unused, the RA Prime Minister and Lithuania's Foreign Minister emphasized the need of holding business forums on a regular basis, encouraging the contacts between the respective business circles, developing and implementing joint programs in different fields of activity and stressed that this process is likely to be activated by the Lithuanian Prime Minister's upcoming visit to Armenia early next year which may provide such a possibility.During the meeting, Serzh Sargsyan and Petra Vaitiekunas exchanged views on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. The Prime Minister has said that Armenia would appreciate if any country interested in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict inclusive of Lithuania could abide by a well-proportioned and unbiased stance.
