Ra Prime Minister A. Margaryan has sent a Greetings Message to the participants of the Second Congress of the Armenian Engineers Union, which reads as follows:
Quote
Dear Participants and Guests of the Congress:
I am congratulating you on the Second Congress of the Armenian Engineers Union.
Throughout centuries Armenia has introduced itself to the world with its outstanding engineering art, unique and unparalleled architectural style, distinctively original historical and cultural values. Today, as we are building an independent statehood, not only the protection and preservation thereof, but also their further strengthening and development have become a priority. These processes will need a strong backing on the part of non-governmental organizations and the Armenian Engineers Union in particular, with the consolidated efforts of the three generations of builders due to yield the desired outcome.
The people of Armenia has always treated its builders and engineers with utmost respect by referring to the most merited ones among them as "Varpet." This is of course the highest reward for each of them. Dear engineers, do your best to live up to this high standard of appreciation.
I wish the Congress every success and fruitful work.
