RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan received Secretary-General of the Universal Confederation of Trade Unions Vladimir Shcherbakov and Chairman of Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia Martin Harutiunyan. Vladimir Shcherbakov spoke with satisfaction about the ongoing cooperation with the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia and its long-standing Chairman. He expressed confidence that this traditionally productive cooperation would be continued in future. The Secretary-General of the Universal Confederation of Trade Unions further said that he was impressed by Armenia's economic achievements, as well as by the efforts toward the improvement of Armenia's citizens' living conditions. Vladimir Shcherbakov also spoke about the actively developing cooperation of Universal Confederation of Trade Unions with trade unions and authoritative organizations of various countries of the world.
At the request of his guests, RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan briefed them on the economic situation in Armenia, the social and economic programs envisaged by the 2008 RA draft budget law and the Government's priorities.
Serzh Sargsyan wished successful and productive work to the Second Congress of Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia and expressed hope that the replacement of the meritorious chairman of the confederation will not be reflected in any way on the further activities of the organization and that the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia will continue performing its mission in the best possible manner.
