In accordance with a decision signed by RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan, Mr. Parouyr Karapetyan was appointed Deputy Head of State Property Management Department under RA Government.
Biographical Note
Mr. Parouyr Karapetyan was born at Angekhakot village of Siunik marz in 1959.
In 1977-1980, he studied at the Food Industry Technical Secondary School of Yerevan. In 1986, he entered the Agronomy Department of the Armenian Agricultural Institute in Yerevan, which he graduated from in 1991 with the qualification of Researcher-Agronomist.
At the outset of his professional career in 1980, he worked at the Shahoumian district's "Anastasavan" and "Shahoumian" collective farms in Yerevan.
In 1991-1998, he worked as Senior Administrator-Director of Sebastia Hotel in Yerevan. In 1998, he was elected to the post of Head of Ajapniak District Community of Yerevan and, in the period between 1999-2003, he was Member of the National Assembly of Second Convocation.
Mr. Arakelyan has no political affiliation.
He is married and has 3 children.
