Today RA government commission for coordination of charitable programs has held an ordinary meeting presided at by Mr. S. Ter-Simonyan, chairman of the commission.
The commission has discussed 13 charitable programs, including: a Hayastan All-Armenian Fund-implemented program for the assessment of the social-economic situation and the differentiation of social-economic priorities for the most problematic settlements in Martakert region of the NKR, the repair of the roofing and ceiling of the hall of secondary school after Ghapantzyan in Ashtarak town, the rehabilitation of the outer sewerage system of the State olympic shift sports-school, the drilling activities for a new bore-well in Hatzik village of Armavir marz.
The meeting has approved the Holy See of Etchmiadzin-sponsored projects for the refurbishment of St. Gayaneh Monastic Complex and the repair of the congregation's building, as well as a project for the seismic upgrades of the Holy See's storehouse.
The purpose of the One Nation-One Culture Foundation-implemented "Let Us Preserve Our Cultural Patrimony" program is the presentation of our multi-faceted cultural assets in the province and in Artsakh.
A program referred to as Accurate Solution of the Eugen Model of Molecular Evolution and the Informational and Channel-Based Aspects of the Evolution will be implemented by the National Fund for Science and Advanced Technologies at the Physics Institute of Yerevan. The "Medical Assistance to Socially Vulnerable People" program will be carried out by the Armenia Office of the U.S.-based "Medical Aid for the Armenians" non-governmental charitable organization.
The Student Squad Headquarters-Voluntary Work Services NGO is due to organize International Voluntary Work Encampments in Armenia, and the American-Armenian Benevolent Society of Medical Care will provide support to the TB-Sanatorium in Dilijan..
The meeting has also discussed and approved a number of sub-contracts passed under previous programs, as well as several projects concerning the import of freight destined to different organizations operating in Armenia.
