RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan received the delegation led by Head of OSCE DIHRO Observer Mission, Ambassador Gert-Heinrich Arens. Serzh Sargsyan expressed his appreciation of the planned visit to Armenia of an observer mission from the OSCE/DIHRO and assured that both the government and the Republican Party of Armenia were prepared to assist the mission with the exercise of their duties in our country as much as possible and were open to any future meetings and discussions, if necessary.
Both sides stressed that, like the May elections, the presidential ones have to comply with the international standards and should be a step forward over the latest parliamentary polls.
Ambassador Gert-Heinrich Arens described the activities to be carried out by long-term and short-term observer missions in our country and said that the international community was prepared to assist with successful conduct of elections in Armenia and would be glad to state the desired progress.
During the meeting, the interlocutors also spoke of the questionnaire prepared for the 9 candidates running for presidency in Armenia.
