President of Turkey Abdullah Gul sent a congratulatory message to RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan on victory in presidential elections. The message states in part:
"On the occasion of your election as President of the Republic of Armenia, I wish to extend to Your Excellency, on behalf of the Turkish people and on my own behalf, my congratulations and wishes for success. I hope that your new mandate will enable the creation of the atmosphere for the normalization of relations between the Turkish and Armenian people, who have proved that they could live together in peace and harmony for centuries.
I sincerely wish that our common endeavors will create a climate based on stability, mutual trust and cooperation, which will contribute to the peace and prosperity in our region.
Taking this opportunity, I convey my most sincere wishes for your personal health and happiness as well as for the peace and well-being of the Armenian people."
