Armenian Assembly of America Board of Trustees Chairman Hirair Hovnanian congratulated Serzh Sargsyan on his victory in Armenia
's presidential elections. The congratulatory message states in part:"Dear President-Elect Sargsyan,

Your experience in various positions of leadership over the past twenty years provides a unique background that I am confident you will use to best help the Armenian people achieve a secure country of which we can all be proud.
As you are well aware, for the past twenty years the Armenian Assembly has been dedicated to serving the people of Armenia by establishing and expanding its relations with the executive and legislative branches of our government. The sole purpose of this effort was to foster and enhance a strong and mutually beneficial US-Armenia relationship. We look forward to continuing this cooperation with you.
