Today RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan has received the delegation headed by President of the Worldwide Armenian Congress and President of the Armenian Union of Russia Ara Abrahamyan.
The guests briefed the Prime Minister on the goals and objectives behind their visit and the events held in the framework of the visit. Reference was also made to the 5-year-long activities of the Armenian Union of Russia, the on-going work and the projected action in respect of which specific proposals were discussed with the head of the Armenian government.
The Prime Minister said to be highly appreciative of the efforts employed by the AUR in terms of mobilization of community capacity towards the implementation of programs of panarmenian significance by noting that such practices might set a good example to our Diasporan compatriots from other countries.
The meeting agenda comprised as well consideration of possibilities for making a better use of the potentialities of the Worldwide Armenian Congress and the Armenian Union of Russia with the view of addressing the social-economic challenges facing the government of Armenia.
