Today a phone conversation has been held between RA President-elect, RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan and RF President Vladimir Putin. Once again, the President of the Russian Federation congratulated Serzh Sargsyan on his election as President of Armenia. He expressed his support for the people and authorities of Armenia in connection with the internal political situation in the country. Vladimir Putin emphasized the need for addressing the present situation through political ways - by means of a dialog with the opposition - prioritizing the unity of the Armenian people, the stability and security of the country and the further strengthening of relations between Armenia and Russia and the friendship of the two peoples.
During the phone conversation with Serzh Sargsyan, the RF President reaffirmed his invitation to visit the Russian Federation and noted that he would be glad to host Serzh Sargsyan at any convenient for him time in order to discuss issues connected with the strengthening of bilateral relationship and the prospects for their development.
