Today RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan has received Mr. Erkki Tuomioa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland.
The Prime Minister has stressed the importance of continued high-level contacts in respect of further strengthening and developing Armenian-Finnish bilateral relationship. According to the head of government, the recent activation in the relationship between Finland and Armenia, among other things, was due to the increased interest for our region under the European Neighborhood Policy.
At the request of his guest, the Prime Minister briefed him on the current status of Armenia's European integration efforts and the steps underway which, according to him, were not as much a duty as our nation's keen aspiration to living up to European values.
With reference to bilateral economic and commercial relationship, Mr. A. Margaryan has noted that Armenia was interested in their expansion. According to the Prime Minister, the level of exchanges was very low between the two countries, and there still remained much to do in terms of economic cooperation. Mr. A.
