By RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan's decision, Mr. Gagik Khachatryan was appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia.
Biographical Note
Mr. Gagik Khachatryan was born in Avan village of Ashtarak region in 1952. In 1973, he graduated from the Yerevan State Polytechnic after K. Marx with the qualification of engineer-mechanician. From 1973 to 1978, he worked at Yerevan-based "Bazalt" and "Ferrit" plants as a foreman and as an engineer-designer respectively. In the period between 1978 and 1980, he occupied the post of chief engineer first at "Ferrit" plant in Yerevan, then at the Echmiadzin branch of "Plastic" IA.
In 1990-1994, he was instructor of the organizing unit of the Echmiadzin regional committee of CPA, then head of unit of the Yerevan Special Design Bureau for semi-conductor-based technologies. In 1983-1999, he held the office of Director of "Transistor" semi-conductor-based device producing factory in Ashtarak town. In the period from 1999 to 2001, Mr. Gagik Khachatryan was Member of National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
From 2001 until the latest appointment, Mr. Gagik Khachatryan worked as Head of "State Procurement Agency" SNCO.
He is member of the Republican Party of Armenia.
He is married and has 3 children.
