Today RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan has received President of Executive Board of International Scientific-Technical Center (ISTC) Doctor Ronald Leman and Vice-President Elin Virginio who are in Armenia to attend the international seminar referred to as "Regional Cooperation in Natural Hazard Management Matters: risk management tools."
Greeting the guests, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction at the close cooperation established between RA National Academy of Sciences and the ISTC that would allow making a more efficient use of public and other funds aimed at science development.
In his turn, Dr Leman thanked the Prime Minister and the Armenian government for the backing of ISTC's activities in Armenia and the care for science development in the country. He said to be highly appreciative of Armenian researchers' contribution to the development and implementation of international scientific programs and added that the holding of this seminar in Yerevan was a vivid evidence thereof. Dr Leman further advised that the seminar was going to review the proposals for the funding of new programs to be adopted by the ISTC, among which the project of launching "Garni" International Research and Development Center in the area of global sciences.
In closing, appreciative of the activities carried out by the ISTC for the promotion of scientific development in Armenia and our region, the Prime Minister once again reiterated the readiness of the Armenian government to assist these processes as much as possible and wished the seminar successful completion.
