Congratulating Tigran Sargsyan on appointment to the post of RA Prime Minister, Mr. Sedrakyan said to have been impressed by the latest meeting with Tigran Sargsyan as chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia and expressed wish that as headed by Mr. Sargsyan the Government of Armenia might succeed in its high mission. Perch Sedrakyan mentioned that the AGBU was involved in several countries of the world for the sake of Armenians both in the Diaspora and at Homeland. Among the goals of his present visit, Mr. Sedrakyan mentioned the willingness of supporting the State and the people of Armenia, providing assistance with the implementation of those programs carried out in a broad range of spheres, as well as ensuring proper linkage between the youth in the Diaspora and the Motherland and familiarizing them with our national values. He further briefed the Prime Minister on the completed and ongoing AGBU programs.
Tigran Sargsyan said in turn that he was very much inspired by the previous meeting with the AGBU Chairman and added that he thought the present agenda to be very important. He noted that the Government Program which is due to be submitted to the National Assembly later today was based on such approaches and programs covering the formation of a knowledge-based economy, such projects as might imply the participation of any Armenian in nationwide programs, irrespective of their country of residence. According to the Prime Minister, the GoA is prepared to possibly support the realization of AGBU programs, to use the Diaspora's potentialities considering them as a competitive asset for Armenia. He stressed that we should not lag behind our neighbors in the region. Tigran Sargsyan further noted the importance of implementing pan-Armenian projects and expressed conviction that doing business would be much easier in Armenia shortly so as any Armenian can state with pride that Armenia offers better conditions for entrepreneurship than the country of his residence.
