RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Armenia Serge Smessov. Both sides have stressed the need for deepening the Armenian-French economic relations to reach the high level of bilateral political ties as there are sufficient pre-conditions for it. It was mentioned that there are vast opportunities for developing the cooperation in the fields of culture and education. In this context, Ambassador Smessov spoke about the French side
's intention to found a French school in Armenia which might serve as a bridge between the already existing French Kindergarten and French University, which is especially important for the families of the staff employed at the French companies involved in Armenia. The Ambassador asked for the Prime Minister's support as to the allotment of a site to this end. Tigran Sargsyan assured that he would assign the Mayor of Yerevan to submit relevant proposals as shortly as possible.During the meeting, Ambassador Smessov said to be pleased with the willingness of French companies specialized in high technologies to get involved in the Armenian market and added that this was a positive shift towards developing the economic cooperation.
