A Prime Minister A. Margaryan-led Armenian delegation will go to the Arab Republic of Egypt for an official visit on December 5-8. The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with Egyptian President Hosni Moubarak, Prime Minister Ahmad Nazif, the Governor of Alexandria, the chairman and teaching staff of the Cairo University's Department of Oriental Studies, as well as with the representatives of the Armenian community of Egypt.
The fourth meeting of the Armenian-Egyptian intergovernmental commission will be held in the framework of this visit.
Today the details of the visit have been taken up at the Prime Minister's meeting with Egyptian Ambassador Abla Abdel Rahman. Satisfied at the course of preparative work, both sides expressed confidence that the visit program will be completed successfully to give a new impetus to the development of Armenian-Egyptian relations.
During the meeting, the Ambassador thanked the Prime Minister and the Armenian government for the decision on allocation of a plot of land for ARE Embassy in Yerevan.
