The Government of the Republic of Armenia

I extend congratulations on the Day of Republic - the 90th anniversary of proclamation of the first Armenian republic. After about a 600-year-long pause, the reinstatement of the Armenian nationhood on May 28, 1918 was the result of those heroic fights waged by our people at the battlefields of Sardarapat, Bash-Aparan and Gharakilisa. We should never forget those Mayday victories which were made possible owing to the unity, exceptional consolidation and unanimity of the nation that laid the basis for future manifestations of our people's freedom-loving spirit and new brilliant exploits throughout the liberation war of Artsakh. In adding to our self-confidence, these feats of arm provide us with extra power of will and determination to preserve and build on the legacy of our past generations, reinforce the sovereign statehood in order to defy today's challenges and build a better day of tomorrow for the people of Armenia.
