RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received President of VTB Bank OJSC Andrey Kostin.
The Prime Minister noted that the visit of the President of VTB Bank to Armenia and his constant attention to Bank activities in Armenia instill hope that economic cooperation will develop with the same success and will reach the high level of political relations which today exist between Armenia and Russia.
Having agreed with the point of view of the Prime Minister, Andrey Kostin presented the forthcoming development programs of VTB Bank concerning the realization of some mutually advantageous projects in various spheres in Armenia. The President of the Bank spoke with satisfaction about VTB Bank
's successful involvement in our country and the investment packages prepared by the Bank. He emphasized that this is an evidence of the close mutual relationship and the favorable investment environment of Armenia.The head of RA Government and the president of VTB Bank also spoke about the present economic problems of general character, inclusive of inflationary phenomena and the possibilities for the banking system to counter them.
Mr. Kostin briefed the Prime Minister of Armenia on the credit program aimed at the commissioning of the Teghut copper and molybdenum deposit, as well as on the provisions of the corresponding agreement to be signed.
After the meeting, a credit agreement signing ceremony took place. The agreement was signed by President of VTB Bank OJSC Andrey Kostin and President of Teghut Company Valery Mejlumyan.
