Today, on the last date of his official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Prime Minister A. Margaryan and the members of the Armenian delegation left Cairo for Alexandria where Prime Minister Margaryan had a meeting with Governor Mohammad Abdel Salam Mahgour.
Later on, the head of GoA visited the famous Alexandrian Library. The Prime Minister and Director of Matenadaran Sen Arevshatyan handed over as a gift to the Library the photo-faximile version of the Echmiadzin Gospel, which is an old Armenian parchment manuscript dating back to 989 AD and has been kept with the collection of Matenadaran to date. It will be exposed at the 2006 February show of exhibits imported from the Mashtotz institute of ancient manuscripts to be held in the premises of the Library and will be left on the shelves of the famous library as part of the library stock of Armenian books.
Later in the evening, the delegation of the Prime Minister will be back to Yerevan.
