RA government commission on coordination of charitable programs met in a regular session, presided over by commission chairman Simon Ter-Simonyan.
The commission has discussed 15 programs. In particular, the following programs have been approved: the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund-implemented installation of first-aid stations in Khnoushinak and Machkalashen villages of Martuni region, as well as in Vanadzor village of Hadrut region of the NKR; the Holy See of St. Echmiadzin-financed design and estimate activities for the basement engineering block of the Vanadzor Haypradatz Toun and fabrication and installation of furniture for the video record library of the TV unit of the information system by the Holy See.
The project carried out by the NAS Fundamental Research Library SNCO seeks to computerize the Fundamental Research Library and institute libraries. A project sponsored by the Armenia branch of the Armenian Relief Fund of America will finance design and estimate activities under the capital repair of "Oyunjian" secondary school in Gyumri town of Shirak marz.
The session has also endorsed the refurbishment of the first block of a former hostel building in Nor-Nork community of Yerevan and of two small buildings within the former agricultural college in Darbnik village of Ararat marz, the construction of a large school building in Ishkhanasar village of Syunik marz to be implemented Otevan Christian Youth Association during 2008. "Armenian Karitas" will fund the construction of a laundry-room for special school No.3 in Gyumri, Yerevan Rotary Club CSO will undertake the construction and equipping of play-grounds and recreation zones for kindergarten No. 156 and "Lilit" condominium in Achapniak and Shengavit district communities of Yerevan respectively, as well as for Vostan kindergarten No. 16 in Armavir marz.
The meeting has also discussed and approved several sub-programs under the standing ones, as well as projects on import of charitable freight destined to various organizations operational in Armenia.
