RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received director general of Rostechnology state corporation Sergey Chemezov and Ara Abrahamyan, president of Russian Armenians Union.
Discussed were issues bearing on eventual cooperation in Armenia's industrial market. Mr. Chemezov said to be especially interested in making large-scale investments in the field electronic industry. He noted that if analyzed, other sectors, too, might reveal opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation inclusive of launching joint ventures.
The Prime Minister agreed that electronic industry might provide good outlook for interaction considering that as early as in Soviet era Armenia used to be a leader in this area. The Prime Minister welcomed and expressed support for any initiative to the mutual advantage aimed at establishing closer ties of economic cooperation. It was decided to take up the matter during the upcoming session of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission.
