Today an extended meeting of the Board for Coordination of Water-User Companies and Water-User Unions' Activities has been held under the chairmanship of Mr Hovik Abrahamian, RA Minister for Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Operations Coordination.
The meeting was attended by the regulatory council membership, as well as representatives from competent authorities, the CEOs and chief accountants of the administrative boards of water-user companies from Armavir and Ararat Marzes.
Discussed were issues bearing on the activities carried out by water-user companies in the above both marzes in the period up till October 1, 2004, as well as the progress in the fulfilment of both the instructions issued by the regulatory council in October, 2004 and the proposals for efficiency improvements regarding the activities of water-user companies.
The discussion resulted in a number of directions and recommendations aimed at providing for the achievement of the targets set under the 2004 budgets. In this connection, severe reprimands were imposed upon those officials in default of their duties.
In closing, it was decided that the final report on the implementation of the 2004 annual commitments would be discussed in early November, 2004.
