RA government commission on coordination of welfare programs met, chaired by commission chairman Simon Ter-Simonyan.
The commission discussed 12 programs, inclusive of the following projects financed by Hayastan All-Armenian Fund: "Water supply system rehabilitation in Apaven village of Lori marz," "Assistance of construction design re-estimation activities for Zangezour cardiology center in Syunik marz" and "Publishing of information materials on Telethon-2008."
The commission further approved a number of programs carried out by the Holy See of St Echmiadzin, including "Improvement of schooling conditions for the pupils of the Malatia Hayordatz Tun by the Holy See and AGBU," "Improvement of schooling conditions for the pupils of the Nork Hayordatz Tun by the Holy See and AGBU," "Improvement of schooling conditions for the pupils of the Fine Arts Center by the Holy See and AGBU," "Improvement of Holy See-owned monasteries' economic status," "Reconstruction of Surb Nerces the Great Medical Center by the Holy See," "Dismantling of the old observatory's decrepit building by the Holy See of Saint Echmiadzin," "Procurement of steel framework for the second stage of construction of the Holy See Erebuni district church," as well as "Design and estimate work for the former patriarchal residence of the Holy See."
The meeting has also discussed and approved several sub-programs under the standing ones, as well as projects on import of charitable freight destined to various organizations operational in Armenia.
