RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with more than two tens of art workers from different spheres: music, dancing art, theatre, literature, fine arts etc.

The meeting was meant to provide a forum for exchange of opinions on topical issues, discuss the ways to addressing the existing problems. In turn, the head of government outlined the government’s policies and approaches, as well as the possibilities for joint action towards tackling the problems faced.

The Prime Minister expressed willingness to hold similar meetings with art workers on a regular basis. Tigran Sargsyan assured the guests that he would take up their comments and proposals with the Ministry of Culture in order to find out to what extent the State can solve these problems, allowing for the difficulties faced due to the global financial and economic crisis.

On behalf of the Cabinet, the Prime Minister promised to refrain from taking any culture-related decisions without discussing them with the NGOs and the representatives of this sphere. “I suggest cooperating and making joint efforts to tackle those problems of common interest,” the Prime Minister said in conclusion.
