RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Perch Sedrakyan, President of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU).

The Prime Minister said to be encouraged by the performance of those arrangements reached at the previous meeting with Mr. Sedrakyan. The head of government thanked the AGBU and Mr. Sedrakyan in person for all the projects carried out in Motherland. According to Tigran Sargsyan, this seems to be especially important today as it helps increase Armenia’s immunity in the face of the challenges coming from the global financial and economic crisis.

Mr. Sedrakyan said to be convinced that the Union should first of all focus on Motherland as the projects carried out in Armenia promote the resolution of Diaspora-related problems.

The interlocutors pointed out the need for preservation of the Diaspora potential, mobilization of Armenians worldwide for the achievement our national goals and stressed that the Armenian State, the Church and non-governmental organizations ought to make united efforts to address national identity-related, educational and other key problems.
