Today the Information Technologies Development Support Council has held a regular meeting at the Office of Government which was chaired by Council Chairman, Republic of Armenia Prime minister Andranik Margaryan.
Questions relating to the course of fulfilment of the assignments set at the previous meeting of the Council, structure and functions of working groups within the Council, organization of an action referred to as Month of Information Technologies, structure and functions of the working groups established with the purpose of organization of a nationwide contest of electronic content scheduled for the current year and gals - actions for regional winners, etc. have been discussed.
On the first question of the agenda, Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan reported that all of the assignments of the previous meeting had been executed completely and in a timely manner with the results thereof having been put up for discussion at this meeting.
The Council has discussed the preliminary program and the schedule of the current year of action scheduled on September - October and referred to as Month of Information Technologies. By decision of Prime minister a commission has been set up on coordination of actions in which representatives of state bodies and private sector and public organizations are involved. Chairman of Commission, Adviser to Prime minister Mr. Ara Hacobyan reported that more than ten actions have been scheduled for the period of September - October, 2006, including the competitions of IT programming and the international contest of best electronic content, the international conference to be held in the framework of Armenia
