RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received governor of Kaliningrad province Georgy Boos.
Greeting the guest, the head of the government spoke about the new possibilities to develop Armenian-Russian relationship inclusive of direct ties with individual regions.
Governor Boos briefed the Prime Minister on his province’s economic development vectors, banking reform, investment-oriented measures. In this context, he noted that Armenia is drawing special interest as authorities in Kaliningrad province prioritize the development of relationship with such countries as are closest to Russia both historically and spiritually.
Views have been exchanged on cooperation in the fields of farming and agriculture, construction and industry, trade, jewelry and tourism.
Concerning economic interaction, the parties have emphasized the need for strengthened ties between entrepreneurs, supposed to be promoted by the recent exposition of industrial produce from Kaliningrad province and the business forum held at the House of Moscow in Yerevan. Both sides said to be interested in the holding of a similar event in Kaliningrad province.
