RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation led by Vice-president of the Asian Bank for Development Jiao Xiau.
Greeting the guest, the head of the Armenian government expressed satisfaction at the pace of the ever strengthening bilateral collaboration. Several ADB-supported programs are being implemented in Armenia, including rural road rehabilitation, water supply and water drainage system restoration projects, programs aimed at mitigating the impact the global crisis.
Tigran Sargsyan highlighted the construction of the north-south axis of regional relevance, as well as the urban transport development program which in addition to many other components implies construction and restoration of roundabout roads in Yerevan.
Appreciative of a warm reception and Armenian’s readiness to collaboration, ADB Vice-president Jiao Xiau expressed the Bank’s willingness to discuss any such program as may be a priority to the Government.
“Your visit is sure to give a new impetus to our joint efforts. I am glad that we have a common vision of action which is a pledge for continued and expanded cooperation,” the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has said.
