RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan took part in a general meeting which brought together the staff of RA Foreign Ministry central apparatus, the heads of diplomatic missions and consular services of the Republic of Armenia.
Addressing the meeting, the Prime Minister briefed those present on Armenia’s current economic status, the government’s anti-crisis action and on the economic impact of the global crisis.
The head of the executive advised that his government’s anti-crisis action is said to be highly efficacious by international experts with the latter having highlighted the government’s focus on infrastructure and system-building enterprises, support of small and medium-size enterprise etc.
Tigran Sargsyan outlined Armenia’s development prospects, his government’s approaches to successful foreign market campaigns, strategic agricultural projects, IT development policies etc.
The Prime Minister indicated that new approaches to success are needed as old toolkits cannot work in the modern world. The ideology of the Armenian World stems from the acknowledgement of these realities. In this regard, the head of the government emphasized the role of Armenia’s National Competitiveness Council, All-Armenian Bank, securities market, as well as the implementation of sizeable investment programs. The achievement of all these targets calls for closer cooperation with the diplomatic corps.
In conclusion, Tigran Sargsyan took the opportunity to answer questions asked by the diplomats in attendance. Noting that efficiency in the home and foreign policies go hand in hand, the Prime Minister said to be looking forward to corresponding proposals on their part.
