RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended the re-opening of the upgraded Art School of Armavir town. The Prime Minister was shown over the entirely refurbished building of the school. The pupils and the teaching staff presented a concert program in honor of the head of government.
Operational since the 50s of the last century, the School features dance, fine arts and music departments incorporating several classes for 345 schoolchildren from Armavir town.
AMD 163 million dram worth of 1500 sq. meter reconstruction work was carried out in 3 stages over a period of two years. Completed a couple of days ago, the two-storey school building which is supposed to accommodate a total of 500 pupils will be heated in a civilized manner starting this winter. Noteworthy is that classes went on uninterrupted during the whole reconstruction period.
