RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended today the opening of the Euro-Caucasian Cardiology Forum.
In his address, the head of the executive said that public health care is a priority area under the government’s strategy: “Health care is seen as a key driving force behind Armenia’s strategic development. We should abide by a cluster-wise approach in the sphere of health services and provide such conditions as seem to be necessary for Armenia to become a regional health care center. Specific projects have already been designed to that effect, and we try to pursue this strategy based on the principle of public-private sector cooperation.”
Highly appreciative of the work done by cardiologists, Tigran Sargsyan indicated that there are some achievements in this area. Said achievements can be witnessed by the ever-growing number of patients arriving from neighboring countries to get medical diagnosis and treatment: “Our strategy stems from our determination to rely on the all-Armenian potential as evidenced by this forum.”
The present gathering is another possibility for you to share views on the outlook for cardiology development, exchange know-how to the benefit of service quality.” The Prime Minister highlighted the quality of professional training: “Health care is supposed to provide for spasmodic development in the 21st century. It implies close interaction between research and practice as modern societies are knowledge-based ones, and we must lead the way in this area.”
