A session of RA government’s charitable project coordination commission took place, chaired by commission head Simon Ter-Simonyan.
The commission discussed 18 programs, with the following ones approved, in particular:
Hayastan All-Armenian Fund-implemented design and partial repair of Building B in the Yerevan clinical hospital of infectious diseases, design of capital repair of children’s ward of Kapan town’s medical centre, as well as the “Ororots” program;
Holy See of St Echmiadzin-implemented “Purchase of armature for construction of Building 2 of the Gevorgyan theological seminary and the St Archangels church;
ARDA relief fund-implemented programs referred to as “Zeytun – Improvement” and “Donation of furniture and home appliances to families residing in “Taton - 3” new-built district in Vanadzor town;
World Vision International-implemented “Safe motherhood, healthy child, happy family” program;
Armenian Caritas-implemented “Social and pedagogical assistance to children” and “Improvement of sanitary-hygienic conditions in preschool establishment No.11 of Gyumri town;
Aquatics Armenia-implemented “Playground for children from Nor-Nork district of Yerevan” program;
Save the Children Federation-implemented “Early childhood health care” program;
A program carried out by the country branch of the regional organization of Baden-Wurttemberg of the German Red Cross entitled “3 motor-cars for Armenia;”
National Fund for Science and High Technologies-implemented “Assistance to the Scientific Research Institute by the Synchrotron Radiation-based Research Center of Yerevan State University SNCO;”
A program carried out by World Vision International in Gegharkunik marz referred to as “First-aid training course;”
A program carried out by the Vanadzor Old-Age Asilum Foundation;
A program carried out by “Armenian education” educational foundation;
“Kamerjak” welfare NGO-implemented “Purchase of a washing machine for the laundry room of the old-age asylum of Vanadzor;
A program carried out by the International Church Council’s Armenian Interchurch Charity Round Table Foundation, entitled “Gifts for Armenian children.”
The meeting has also discussed and approved several sub-programs under the standing ones, as well as projects on import of charitable freight destined to various organizations operational in Armenia.
