Asad Alam’s delegation welcomed by the Prime Minister
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a World Bank delegation led by regional director Asad Alam.
The agenda comprised issues concerning the cooperation between the Government of Armenia and the World Bank.
The parties spoke about the North-South project and the possibility for the World Bank’s involvement therein. Reference was made of Tatev monastery’s rural road building project. Next, they discussed ways of making effective use of energy and developing agriculture in our country. Another agenda item was the World Bank-supported project of seismic upgrades in Armenia.
In conclusion, the interlocutors exchanged views on the model of Armenia’s economic development.
