The RA government commission on coordination of relief programs met today at the Office of Government, chaired by commission head Simon Ter-Simonyan.
The meeting discussed and approved 13 programs, among which:
The Fundamental Research Library SNCO project as implemented by the National Academy of Sciences, aimed at creating an all-Armenian online network of libraries.
Two projects carried out by the Armenian Caritas referred to as “Adapted means of conveyance for children with mental and physical handicaps from Aregak daytime center” and “Free distribution of humanitarian supplies in Shirak, Lori and Gegharkunik marzes of Armenia.”
A project funded by the Armenia branch of Mission Orient international relief society, entitled “Support for the nationwide program against HIV/AIDS - Stage 1.”
The “Let’s unite for children’s future” program as implemented by the Armenia office of Save the Children Federation Inc. US-based organization with a view to assisting central government and local self-government authorities, as well as community establishments with their child protection-oriented endeavors.
A program carried out by World Vision International, entitled “World Vision International’s sponsorship of Armenia,” to promote contacts between foreigners and Armenian children and engage additional resources for the development of Armenia’s most vulnerable communities, as well as the Import and Free Distribution of Charitable Freight among Healthcare Institutions program.
The Home Hospice Service program as implemented by “Gayush Association of Domestic Care of Sick Children” relief society.
A project carried out by the Armenia branch of Poor Children Support Action referred to as “Support for pre-school education in Haghartsin community of Tavush marz of Armenia.”
A program carried out by Otevan young people’s Christian association for repair of sanitary units in the hostel located at 10/2, Lane 4, Artsakh str, Yerevan.
Three projects implemented by Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, referred to as “Partial furnishing of secondary school N5 in Charentsavan town of Kotayk marz,” “Partial furnishing of secondary school in Azatamut village of Tavush marz” and “Enclosure for the kindergarten of Mergashen village of Kotayk marz.”
The meeting discussed and approved several sub-programs as part of the ongoing projects, as well charitable freight import-related projects for a number of organizations operational in Armenia.
