The Prime Minister of Armenia attended the opening of Terghe - 1 HPP
The third day of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan’s working visit to the NKR began with the opening of a water-main in Verin Horatagh village of Martakert region. Next, the head of government visited Base Metals enterprise in Drmbon village from where he headed to Sarsang HPP.
Tigran Sargsyan’s next port of call was Terghe - 1 HPP where he took part in the ceremonious opening of the power plant. The event was attended by NKR President Bako Sahakyan, Prime Minister Ara Harutunyan, as well as cabinet members and marz governors from Armenia.
“Summing up the visit, we can state once again: we get inspired and stimulated here,” noted the Prime Minister of Armenia. Tigran Sargsyan said what mattered most was the atmosphere round the HPP rather than the construction itself.
As to the joint projects, the Prime Minister pointed out that their effective implementation will trigger a new wave of repatriation. Tigran Sargsyan emphasized that repatriation should be the focus of all major programs carried out in the NKR over the next 5 years.
Late on Sunday evening the delegation was back to Yerevan.
