The Prime Minister prioritizes the founding of Armenia’s representative office in the Silicon Valley

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received operating manager of US-based Plug and Play computer company incubator Kaivan Barumandi.

The parties have discussed issues of mutual concern, inclusive of possibilities for implementing joint programs in the sphere of information and high technologies.

The opening and commissioning of Plug and Play’s Armenia office was said to be a priority. The founding of Armenia’s trade mission in the Silicon Valley was emphasized on either side. The latter is aimed at boosting US-Armenia cooperation in the sphere of information technologies by providing investment opportunities, as well as creating sales and market facilities.

The interlocutors stressed the need for promoting closer contacts between experts and companies. Mindful of cooperation in the field of education and training, Mr. Barumandi stressed the need for mounting a platform for fellowship programs with Stanford University.
