The Prime Minister joined war veterans to mark the 65th anniversary of Victory
On the Day of Victory and Peace, Republic of Armenia Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited Hakhtanak Park and offered flowers to the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The head of government watched the ceremonious review of troops held in front of Mother Armenia monument. Tigran Sargsyan welcomed those veterans in attendance and dined with them in the field canteen.
The Prime Minister went on to answer the journalists’ questions stating in particular: “The Great Patriotic War victory has a special meaning to our country. Our people gave several hundreds of heroes to the former Soviet Union. Armenian soldiers demonstrated their fighting spirit and skills. I am convinced that our parents and grandparents went a long way toward inspiring our freedom-fighters during the war of Karabakh, and once again we had serious victories. This inspires us forward to new such victories. I am felicitating you all on this occasion.”
