RA Prime Minister and Governor of Orenburg region discuss deepening of cooperation
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received today a delegation led by RF Governor of Orenburg region Alexey Tchernyshev.
Greeting the guests, the head of government expressed high opinion of the Armenian-Russian mutually advantageous strategic cooperation.
The parties have discussed questions bearing on the furtherance of interaction between Armenian and Russian provinces. Mindful of making a better use of the existing economic ties, the two sides emphasized the need for achieving increased trade turnover between the two countries. In this context, agriculture, seed-growing, mechanical engineering and public health services were cited as prospective areas of cooperation.
Alexey Tchernyshev hailed the Armenian community of his region for significant contribution to the development of the region. From this standpoint, he appreciated the role of the Armenian National House operational in Orenburg region since last year. The involvement of numerous Orenburg-based Armenians in joint programs was mentioned as a powerful tool for stimulating interregional cooperation.
Mindful of strengthening bilateral economic relations, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan stressed the need for boosting business contacts and creating direct linkages between the respective business circles.
