The Prime Minister makes a point of using Italian know-how in tourism
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan welcomed a delegation led by Milan regional council president Bruno Dappey.
Greeting the guests, the Prime Minister expressed high opinion of today’s level of bilateral economic and cultural ties. He stressed the need for making a better use of the existing potentialities through diversified economic interaction.
Tigran Sargsyan made a point of establishing and developing direct ties between the region of Milan and Kotayk marz of Armenia. Tigran Sargsyan welcomed the buildup of Italian equity in our country in the light of the ambitious financial center under construction in Armenia’s northern town of Dilijan. High opinion was expressed of Italian experts’ contribution to those projects underway in Gyumri.
The parties discussed possibilities for deepening of mutually beneficial joint economic efforts. Information technologies, tourism and light industry were cited as prospective areas of cooperation. The head of government made a point of using the Italian know-how in the field of tourism.
Thanking the Prime Minister for reception, the President of Milan regional council highlighted the role of the Armenian community of Milan in the furtherance of friendly ties between the two countries. Speaking about his visit to Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex, Mr. Dappey noted that the regional council of Milan adopted two documents on the Armenian genocide as early as in 2006.
