A new house of culture in Cheknagh village of Aparan region
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan took part in the opening of a new house of culture in Cheknagh village of Aragatsotni marz. The event was attended by Constitutional Court President Gagik Harutunyan, Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan, cabinet members, representatives of international organizations and numerous guests.
Felicitating the villagers on this significant event, the head of government expressed hope that the new facility would boost community development. Tigran Sargsyan next attended a festive concert held in the new-built house of culture.
Innovative architectural and engineering solutions make of this cultural center one of region’s best such facilities. Situated at the crossroads of several rural settlements, the new-built facility is supposed to host youth and children from neighboring communities for sports and cultural events.
The nearly 400 meter-wide gymnastics hall is supplied with all modern amenities and can host children at any moment after its inauguration. A well-equipped first-aid station will be operational on the spot. All needed medical supplies have been provided by the Ministry of Healthcare. Other welfare services will be available, too.
The project was co-financed by the Treasury, the SIF, as well as through community and private contributions.
